Empowering Greek Rural Heroes with Business Skills

The "AgroAnelixi - Farmers of the Future 2024" agrifood business accelerator continues its successful implementation by New Agriculture New Generation. This program aims to support cooperatives, processing units, businesses, producer groups, farmers, livestock farmers, beekeepers, and home-based businesses that process or aim to process their products to create new differentiated products or enhance existing ones.

Following the Open Call for applications, which ran from April to June 2024, 16 small and very small businesses from various regions of Greece were selected to participate in the 6-month acceleration program.

Over the past quarter, the program has made significant progress:

1. Completion of Educational Workshops: All 22 modules of the online educational workshops have been completed for all 16 participants. These workshops covered a range of essential topics, including:
• Digital Marketing
• Export and Sales Strategy
• Agrifood Products Supply Chain & Logistics
• Sustainability in Agrifood
2. Field Visits: Most of the field visits to the participants’ production units have been completed. These visits have been conducted in various locations across Greece, including Corinth, Kos Island, Crete (Chania, Rethymno, Heraklion), Florina and Argos. The remaining visits will be finalized by the end of the year.
3. Personalized Consulting Support: Each participant has been receiving personalized consulting, with a total of 20 hours per participant. The consulting support is ongoing, and it is expected that all sessions will be completed by the end of the year.

The program continues to provide valuable resources and support to its participants, equipping them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and hands-on guidance to grow their businesses and contribute to the agrifood sector’s innovation and sustainability.

As we approach the final stages of the program, your support remains crucial. We are already in the preparation phase for the next cycle, even though the current one has not yet concluded.
