Empowering Poor, Rural Girls in Paraguay

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for walking alongside us this year. Thanks to your support, 2025 comes to a close at the Colegio Mbaracayú with a moment worth celebrating: 28 young women have successfully graduated, marking the end of an intense and meaningful chapter in their lives — and the beginning of many new horizons.

Throughout the year, these students experienced far more than academic learning. Their journey was shaped by daily life in the school, hands-on work in the field, shared challenges, and moments of reflection that strengthened their sense of identity, purpose, and leadership. This educational model — deeply connected to nature, community, and values — continues to prove that it is possible to form young women who are prepared not only to continue studying, but also to lead and serve their territories with commitment and confidence.

Closing this cycle also means recognizing the collective effort behind it. This achievement was made possible thanks to the dedication of students, families, educators, community members, and — very importantly — donors like you. Your generosity sustains this space of learning and hope, allowing each new generation to grow in an environment that nurtures both knowledge and dignity.

As we look ahead, we do so with gratitude and determination. We hope the coming year allows us to continue expanding opportunities and celebrating even more graduates who choose education as a path to transform their lives and communities. Thanks to your generous support through GlobalGiving, our students at the Mbaracayú Educational Center had the opportunity to present their projects at Expo Educación.

They showcased EcoSentinel, a smart system they created to detect forest fires, poaching, and illegal deforestation, and also competed in FUTBOT, a robotics soccer challenge with robots they designed and programmed themselves.

This valuable experience strengthened their leadership, creativity, and commitment to protecting the environment. For many of our girls, coming from indigenous and rural communities, this was a wonderful opportunity to showcase their technological skills on such a stage. Your support made it possible for them to prove that, with the right tools and encouragement, they can become innovators and defenders of the forest.

Every robot built, every solution designed, is thanks to your belief in their potential and in our mission to break the cycle of poverty through education.
