Charity and Empowerment Foundation (CEF) support poor families in South Sudan to fight COVID-19 by distributing soaps and handwashing facilities. Through the distribution of soaps and handwashing facilities, we are helping 1200 households to protect themselves from COVID-19.
With poor health system and lack of commitment by the government of South Sudan to provide health services to the citizens, the poor who lives below $1 a day cannot afford to buy soaps and handwashing facilities to protect themselves from COVID-19. These vulnerable people have a high rate of infection in South Sudan.
CEF distributes soaps and handwashing facilities in the outskirts of Juba to poor families who cannot afford to buy a bar of soap and a bucket for handwashing. By distributing soaps and handwashing facilities, we are empowering poor families to fight COVID-19 and save lives.
By investing resources on soaps and handwashing facilities, we not only empower the poor households to fight COVID-19, but we restore hope and confidence in them in this difficult time of COVID-19.
