In the realm of skill development, the Advanced Beautician Vocational Education School at Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan identified a small challenge: the lack of a cohesive understanding and support system among trainees, parents, and master trainers. The absence of active involvement and understanding from parents and husbands posed challenges for trainees in translating their newfound skills into meaningful opportunities. Recognizing this issue, RSKS India sought to bridge the gap through a strategic solution.
RSKS India's team crafted a proactive solution by organizing Parents-Husband-Teachers Meetings at the Advanced Beautician Vocational Education School. The objective was to bring together key stakeholders - trainees, parents, and master trainers - in a collaborative space. During these meetings, trainees showcased their progress, shared their aspirations, and discussed the significance of the skills they were acquiring. Master trainers provided insights into the curriculum and potential career paths the trainees could pursue. The meetings were designed to offer parents and husbands a better understanding of the value of their Daughters's and wives' vocational education and how it could open new doors for them.
The engagement of parents in these meetings served a dual purpose. Firstly, it ensured that parents and husbands had a clear understanding of the skills their Daughters and wives were acquiring and the potential for future opportunities. Secondly, it aimed to secure the support of parents and husbands beyond the training period, encouraging them to actively support their Daughters's and wives' endeavors in the field of Beautician. By involving parents and husbands directly, RSKS India aimed to create a robust support system that would extend beyond the classroom, enhancing the overall impact of the vocational education program. Trainees, after showcasing their skills and aspirations, felt a renewed sense of purpose and determination.
The interactions provided them with a platform to express their career goals and aspirations to their parents and husbands, fostering a supportive environment at home.
