Empowerment
By Pastor David Karanja | Project leader
We have stood with these Eighty Vulnerable Women in Nairobi .These women have been experiencing many problem in their lives such as lack of basicneeds example food, shelterand clothing. However lack of job have been the main problem which has really affected their children in the way that they have dropped out of school due to insufficient school fees. These children went all the way to be street boysand girls together with their own mothers begging for food and money beside the road which is very bad pictuer.
We have really worked hard to make these women together with their children for a better life ahead .We have supported them through thich and thin to make sure that theese families are well and atleast living a better life .We us Tumaini Fund For Economic Development helped with a basic needsandalso small capital to start something that can cayer for their daily lives andwe have seen muchimprovements and we are happy for them.
Thank you GlobalGiving Team for the contuous support youy have reallyshown upon to these family May God bless you.

First and foremost, I would like to express my outmost gratitute towards our donors as well as global giving as a whole for all the support that you have given to our organisation.
We have had multiple meetings with the women that we have been supporting.Tumaini staff and the women themselves after much deliberation thought that it would be wise if they would have a business that would easily fund there small businesses and also create an opportunity for one of them to work. After much thought, discussion and consoltation we discovered that soap making which is currently a popular and booming business in Nairobi, would be the best suite since a couple of women in the group had previous experience and attest to its success rate. .
So far the business is going well and the team is thinking of ways to fund and do it in a bigger scale due to its incredible success. It may be another way for the women to gain more funds to support themselves and even more women as the group is likely to grow in the near future.

Our Progress
By PST. David Karanja | Project Manager.
I am pleased to present this report pertaining our progress in the last 3 months which highlights our previous achievements as well as areas for further work in in helping the 80 women to sustain themselves into the Organization’s policies, programmes and activities.
First is a pile of appreciation to you our generous donors who have showed your tremendous support in our projects. We look forward to a continued relationship.
Within the three months period we have embarked in the following activities:
In July we had a meeting with the vulnerable women which we developed a group project to help generate money that will sustain the women. We founded a project on production of washing detergents, which has not started yet due to financial challenges.
We did indivudual home visit to some of the members where we shared ideas and adviced the members on the positive living, interacted with them and took goodies.Since the start of this initiative 2 months ago we have been able to visit 8 members since the visitations occur weekly. We are looking forward to increasing our weekly visitations inorder to visit all members in a short span.
We have established a panel of specialised counsellor who are demoted to offering their services to the women at their time of need. The team aims on helping the members cope with stress and make positive decision on personal matters.
