A New Academic Year Ahead: BTF Continues to Support College Students

By Zeynep Nese Aslan | Donor Relations Coordinator

As we look ahead to the 2024-2025 academic year, we are reminded of the transformative power of education and the pivotal role our donors play in making it accessible to thousands of students. The past year has been one of growth, resilience, and hope for more than 3,100 students who benefited from your generosity. Now, as we prepare for the challenges and opportunities of the new academic term, we invite you to continue this journey with us.

Empowering the Future: Scholarships That Change Lives

For many students, the road to higher education is filled with financial uncertainty. College students, especially those far from home, often face hardships that extend beyond the classroom. With your support, we’ve been able to bridge that gap by offering Empowerment Scholarships to over 3,100 students in the 2023-2024 academic year.

As we move into the new academic year, we remain committed to increasing our reach, but we cannot do it without your help. Your continued support will enable us to assist even more students, ensuring they can pursue their education without financial barriers.

Recovery and Resilience: Supporting Earthquake Survivors' Education

In the aftermath of last year’s devastating earthquakes in southeastern Türkiye, your generous contributions helped us provide critical support to affected communities. Beyond emergency aid, we’ve committed to long-term assistance through the CATE (Child Amputees of Türkiye Earthquake) Project, offering life-changing scholarships and prosthetics and orthesis support for children who lost limbs in the disaster.

With the new academic term approaching, these children and young adults still need your help. By extending your support into 2024-2025, you will be ensuring they receive continuous care and education, from their early school years all the way to college. Your contributions are not just funding scholarships—they are rebuilding lives and providing hope for a better future.

Looking Ahead

The upcoming academic year presents new opportunities for growth, innovation, and impact. With your continued generosity, we aim to:

  • Expand the Empowerment Scholarship Program to reach even more students in need.
  • Provide essential technological resources to help students thrive academically.
  • Continue offering long-term support to earthquake survivors through the CATE Project, ensuring they have the tools and education necessary for success.

As we prepare for 2024-2025, we know that your involvement is key to making these goals a reality. We thank you for standing with us, and we invite you to renew your commitment to making a lasting difference in the lives of students across Türkiye. Together, we can ensure that every student has the opportunity to pursue their dreams and contribute to a brighter future for all!

How You Can Help:

  • Sponsor a student: Your donation can provide a young individual with the resources they need to thrive throughout this academic term.
  • Contribute to our scholarship fund: Ensure that more students from underserved regions can access quality education.
  • Volunteer your time: Share your skills or assist with our upcoming events.
