We at GRACE Cares extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who donated to this GlobalGiving page to support two significant community empowerment projects led by local heroes with YOCUPA in Zambia and GuateBuena in Guatemala.
Thanks to your generous contributions, YOCUPA has conducted two live Theatre for Community Action performances in the Lilanda Compound of Lusaka, raising awareness about combating sexual and gender-based violence. Additionally, in May, they organized a roundtable for numerous international partners, showcasing how Theatre for Community Action can be used to fight child sexual abuse online. Together with its partners, YOCUPA also trained and certified 30 law enforcement officers on detecting and responding to online child sexual abuse material. They will soon begin the next phase of this crucial work.
In Guatemala, GuateBuena has continued to support the community by hosting chronic disease prevention workshops. These workshops teach the preparation of homemade natural medicinal recipes and include donations of medicinal recipe books. They have helped community members achieve a better balance in their physical, mental, and emotional health.
As no more funds are needed at this time, we are taking down this project page. However, we wanted to let you know that your contributions to this initiative will significantly improve the quality of life for the people of Guatemala and Zambia. We are forever grateful for your generosity.
