Greetings to our wonderful Partners in Change supporters,
For those able to attend our 2025 Graduation ceremonies, you know that our graduates offered so many moments of deep inspiration and powerful testimony. Their words repeatedly emphasized how the simple act of showing up - authentically, consistently, and with full dedication to our partner’s growth – makes a profound difference in how one can see themself and their future.
We are honored to share with you the words of PIC 2025 Graduate Delvonte Kelly, who shared his personal PIC experience during our Member Panel.
“I am a navy veteran, a father, a young man, and your neighbor next door. I also entered PIC as a prior felon and was homeless because I moved from Detroit to Atlanta and had no family.”
“I’ve always believed that when you put energy out, you’ll end up where you want to be. So when I learned about PIC I was ready. But I ended up putting too much on my plate. I was always going for that extra job, lots of classes, and over-extending myself.”
Delvonte’s PIC Coach Kris Boucher encouraged him to find his balance.
“My Coach stayed calm for me. She reminded me that this is a process.”
“She told me, I know you want to be great but don’t over-exert yourself. Because if you’re not good, you’re going to show up to situations not at your best and will misrepresent who you are.”
Delvonte believes the power of PIC Coaches is that they connect authentically.
“You can let your walls down. They don’t judge you…It was such an impact to feel I was heard, that I’m not by myself, I’m not crazy. Those are invisible gifts that may have no monetary value but are so impactful in life.”
The PIC coaching model resonated with Delvonte and inspired him to rediscover his inner strengths.
“PIC Coaches have a way of seeing all the possibilities within you. They see the person it’s sometime hard to see yourself.”
Delvonte believes the power of PIC Coaches helped change the direction of his life.
“Life will give you a lot of limits. If you’re not careful, you can focus only on how tough things are. But there are lessons you can draw from those limits – they show you your strength.
That’s something that connects us all – that’s the power in this room.
I am so grateful where I came from. I’m so glad I made the decision to start.”
PIC graduation emcee Keith Jenkins summed up the power of our panelists’ words.
“When you answer the call to be a blessing to someone else – THIS is what it looks like."
PARTNERS IN CHANGE THANKS EACH OF YOU FOR BEING A BLESSING TO OUR COMMUNITY AND THE FUEL FOR THESE LIFE CHANGING PARTNERSHIPS.
