Every child deserves an excellent education! Dignitas has worked in marginalized communities to ensure this goal is achieved. We offer scholarships and conduct termly leadership development training that supports girls to learn skills like communication, collaboration, emotional intelligence and personal values. This learning and exposure opportunities prepare the girls to thrive in a tough and ever changing world. The girls are eager to learn and make a difference in their communities.
Girls from marginalized communities do not always receive equal opportunities to access education and thrive in life. Girls want to attend school; they want their voices to be heard and they want to participate in leading change in the society. But many barriers still prevent girls from fully engaging with all these aspects. These challenges create an unbalanced society where half of the people are left behind in education, development, decision making and problem solving.
This project will provide the opportunity for girls from Primary School and Secondary School to access training, interact with other students and learn new ideas. Through this project, we also plan to set up resource centers in schools where students can connect with literature from around the world, access needed learning supplies and receive termly support for girls' clubs. Training will focus on key concepts on mindsets, communication, leadership development, passion and purpose.
When girls are empowered, they become leaders who will transform their communities. This project will enable girls from marginalized communities to take leadership roles and solve the challenges they face daily. We hope to see the scholars as champion students who will use their voices to advocate for changes they want to see in the world. We believe that for us to achieve a truly equitable world, we must provide more opportunities for girls to access the information they need to succeed in life
