Summary

This project will support our disabled cricketers. The club is the only one of it's kind in South Africa, but we want to expand to other provinces as well. Providing free coaching for all players are part of our mission and granting them the opportunity to participate in structured leagues make them believe in themselves. With the help of donors anything is possible, so become part of something special, become part of the club!

Challenge

We are a new/startup NPO and funds are not easily available due to the circumstances of our players being disabled and unemployed. The community we operate in also is not the wealthiest either. Running the day to day activities costs money that we are unfortunate have a need of. We try our utmost best in creating awareness and raise funds to sustain ourselves but is difficult in the current economical environment.

Solution

With the help of others, numbers can make the difference in our success. We can show the people in the community and the cricket structure within our region we have pride in who we are. We will also have more opportunity to host tournaments in order to showcase the players skills and have free clinics to all in the surrounding area. We will also be able to host skill development programs with educational partners if the facilities are at a certain standard.

Long-Term Impact

The community and all disabled cricketers will be able to say they belong to the club, proudly participate in the leagues and possible become Provincial or even National players. With the correct Partners our education of the disabled to be employable will be possible as we have the facilities to do so. Unemployment under the disabled is still quite high in South Africa and we as a club would like to make a difference in that regard.
