Dear Donors,
We appreciate everyone who has shown interest in the Encourage a Veggie Lifestyle to Save Animals project. Your concern for animal welfare and responsible food choices is encouraging. At the moment, however, the amount contributed so far is still too small to begin the planned workshops and community outreach activities.
Across many communities, people rarely receive information about how food choices affect animals, human health, and the environment. Large scale animal farming continues to expand, yet many individuals are unaware of the conditions animals experience or the environmental effects linked to heavy meat consumption. Without awareness, most families simply follow the eating habits they grew up with.
Education can help people make more informed decisions about what they eat. When communities learn about plant based foods and how they can support good health, some people begin to reduce their dependence on meat. Small changes in food habits can lead to reduced animal suffering and more responsible use of natural resources.
This project plans to organize community learning sessions where participants will be introduced to plant based food options, nutrition guidance, and discussions about animal welfare. The program will also produce simple educational materials and host public talks to help people understand how compassionate eating choices can benefit both animals and human wellbeing.
Community discussions and demonstrations will encourage families to explore affordable plant based meals that are accessible using local ingredients. These conversations aim to build greater awareness and open space for people to reflect on their daily food choices.
We are grateful for the encouragement already received from supporters who care about animal welfare and responsible living. As more people join this effort, it will become possible to launch the awareness activities and begin engaging communities in conversations about compassionate and sustainable eating.
Sincerely,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
