Unfortunately, the works to install the photovoltaic panels in the structure that, hopefully soon, will host a group of girls, are not yet complete. The rainy season has begun and the works have inevitably slowed down.
Another the socio-political situation of the country is dramatic: the president Joseph Kabila has not authorized the normal progress of the elections: this has created disorder in the cities giving rise to an air of revolt that has often turned into real clashes in the streets, ultimately coming to count even a few victims.
All this made communication with the sisters, our local referents, more complicated: the project leader Francesco planned to go to Sambwa in mid-June, hoping to find the photovoltaic panels already in operation or at least installed.
However, we would like to thank all those who helped us with their donations. Trusting in the fact that the situation is quickly restored, we hope to make you aware of the progress of the work as soon as possible.
