Francesco, our project leader, has just come back from an exciting monitoring trip in Congo and he brings us wonderful news: the photovoltaic system is finally installed!
After several complications, the panels are applied to the internship that will host girls in September for a new school year. The results obtained after a first test are more than positive: the system is producing more than the 5 Kilowatt expected!
In addition to serving the internship, the panel can also fuel the artesian pump placed inside the yard and the structure where reside the local nuns. Speaking with Francesco, the next intervention could be to build a canalization outside the complex, in order to guarantee access to water to the population of the village.
Francesco has also participated in the delivery of some sewing machines for the girls who will attend the tailoring course in the internship.
The satisfaction in seeing the goal achieved is so great and even greater is the joy for contributing to the development of a small village like Sambwa.
However, our work does not end here, but, in the wake of this wonderful result, we are thinking of replicating the project in favor of Balou of Lubumbaschi, one of the few disabled centers in Congo that Aleimar already helps through some distance support.
A special thanks to all those who believed in this project and who also helped us when the challenge seemed difficult to win.
We are sure we can continue to count on your help: together we are getting stronger!
