Our project manager Francesco has just returned from monitoring trip to Congo with some news from Sambwa!
Unfortunately, the construction of the residence of Sisters and the walled wall have not yet been completed and, due to political insecurity, it would be risky to install a photovoltaic system. Infact, this plant is still kept at the headquarters of the nuns.
Despite the delay in the works, some improvements have been made to the original design and now the roof of the building is more exposed to the sun!
Our hope is to complete the work as soon as possible and we would like to install solar panels before school starts, in order to guarantee energy and the light needed to students!
And finally, a special thank to all the generous donors who, during the campaign Renewable Energy Match, supported this project of extreme importance for the village of Sambwa.
