This project will provide support for provision of sports equipment in 13 centers (Primary and Secondary schools) of disabled students and train 30 teachers who teach sports to disabled students Iringa region. The support will provide a favorable environment for 664 disabled students to participate in sports activities which sometimes is treatment to them.
There are 664 disabled students in 13 cents (primary and secondary schools) of disabled students in Iringa region who can be involved in sports activities but they have no qualified teachers to teach them and sports equipment. Due to this floppy there is low participation of disabled students in sports activities. Hence there is a need for CSPD Organizations to harness resources for supporting sports activities to disabled students in the region.
This project will help to train teachers who teach sports to disabled students and provide sports equipment to them. The project will provide the favorable environment and encourage the disabled students to participate in sports activities. The project will add value to disabled sports in the region hence make the sports activities to them more important in improving their health and performance in their schools.
The project will train 30 teachers who teach sports to disabled students and provide sports equipment in 13 centers (primary and secondary schools) of 664 disabled students which will encourage them to participate in sports activities hence improve their health, well being and reduce stigmatization among the communities.
