Title: Community Water Well Installed in New Kogala, Peshora (KPK) to Provide Clean Drinking Water
Summary
Alkhidmat Foundation successfully installed a Community Water Well in Village New Kogala, Peshora – KPK, ensuring reliable access to clean and safe drinking water for 152 individuals.
This initiative is part of Alkhidmat’s ongoing clean water program, which continues to transform underserved communities across Pakistan by reducing water scarcity and improving public health.
Story / Update
Before this project, the residents of New Kogala faced severe challenges in accessing clean water. Families—especially women and children—had to walk long distances daily to fetch water from unsafe sources, leading to waterborne illnesses and significant physical burden.
Recognizing the urgent need, Alkhidmat Foundation installed a Community Water Well within the village. This well now provides a convenient, safe, and sustainable water source for drinking, cooking, hygiene, and daily household use.
Community members expressed immense relief and gratitude, as access to clean water has dramatically improved their quality of life, reduced health risks, and restored precious time for education and livelihood activities.
