Story / Update
In the remote areas of District Ghizer, Gilgit-Baltistan, access to clean drinking water has long been a serious challenge. Families were forced to rely on unsafe water sources, exposing them to waterborne diseases and daily hardships.
To resolve this critical issue, Alkhidmat Foundation constructed a new community water well to provide a safe and reliable source of clean water. This well now ensures easy and sustainable access to drinking water for local residents, significantly improving their daily lives.
The availability of clean water has reduced the burden on families, especially women and children, who previously spent hours collecting water from distant or unsafe sources. The community expressed deep gratitude for this life-changing intervention that will benefit them for many years to come.
