Thank you so much for your support for this Project. We are seeing up to 500 children at the Day Centre each month and your support is enabling us to provide food that these young people need in order to survive on the streets. The cost of food remains high and it is a challenge to be able to afford to purchase sufficient supplies to meet the demand.
It is heartbreaking to hear the individual stories of how these children came to be living on the streets, many of them of junior school age, and Kimbilio is a real lifeline to these children. The work of the Congolese team of carers in Lubumbashi, in conjunction with Ian Harvey, the founding director of Kimbilio, and the Trustees in the UK, brings hope to these young lives and the possibility of a better future.
