Hi,
Thank you very much for your financial support that has enabled the Kimbilio team in Lubumbashi to provide food for the street children. Nothing could be worse than being unable to feed the children trying to survive on the streets and your support has meant that we have been able to continue to do this in spite of the dramatic rise in world food prices.
The Day Centre has seen an average of 35 boys and 9 girls every day that it is open this year and the children have hearbreaking stories of how they came to live on the streets. At their young ages,it is possible to affect a change in their fortunes by providing care, support and education and by making contact with their wider families to see if reintegration is possible.
