In 2008 GlobalGiving donors raised over $3,000 dollars for children enrolled in Integrate Health's innovative treatment programs. In 2009, HTH is excited to continue our relationship with GG.
Raising a child with HIV/AIDS demands many resources. In Togo, West Africa, mobilizing the resources needed to care for HIV positive children is challenging. Often the families and caretakers of children living with HIV/AIDS suffer from extreme poverty. Many can barely meet their basic needs let alone afford the cost of additional medicine and doctors visits for children living with HIV/AIDS.
This program will pay for doctors visits and medicine to treat opportunistic infections for children living with HIV/AIDS. It will also provide necessary vitamins and nutritional support.
Over 100 HIV positive children will receive comprehensive care ensuring a healthy future thereby reducing the financial burden on their families
