Challenge

In 2019, the world experienced the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak that resulted in many businesses and institutions closing down, which made thousands of young people lost jobs and educational opportunities in Cameroon. Lack of Vocational training services and entrepreneurship opportunities for young people has the devastating potential to create a severe economic impact. Young people have straggled with life since the COVID-19 outbreak and they need a hand that can support them.

Solution

I.A.A will focus on Entrepreneurship and Technology for youth in order to promote self-employment because it's projected that Cameroon will not be able to generate enough jobs for those entering the labor market during the COVID-19 pandemic and post COVID-19 recovery world. I.A.A will contribute to the improvement of young people's lives through Entrepreneurship and community based sustainable skills in Agriculture, technology, Poultry Production, Business management, Horticulture and STEM.

Long-Term Impact

The program will empower over 5000 both in and out of school rural youths with Vocational Skills in Entrepreneurship, Crops/Poultry production, Business management, STEM programs; to keep them out of current dangers (HIV/AIDS, Early pregnancy, child/early marriage, recruitment into armed groups), Breaking the York of vulnerability and become responsible citizens of today and tomorrow in the society. After their training, they are expected to be able to create jobs for themselves and community.
