Children are the future of conservation efforts

As you know the foundation’s environmental education program turned 20 years in 2023.  Last year we had an Environmental Education Festival, and we are thrilled to report that there have been 122 afternoon activities engaging 131 children and 42 school lessons involving 121 children. This active participation highlights the dedication of both the children and our team to fostering environmental awareness and education within these communities. These numbers reflect the enthusiasm and commitment of the children towards learning about their environment and the importance of conservation efforts.

Your support is crucial in enabling us to continue this important work. Whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading awareness, every contribution makes a difference in shaping a more sustainable future for these communities and their environment.

Between April 8th through April 12th GlobalGiving will be matching at 50% any donation of $50 USD or less.  This is a great time to support our efforts and get more bang for your buck.

As we enter 2024, we are thrilled to announce that we will continue our work with the children from key communities near Corcovado National Park.

At the Corcovado Foundation, we believe in empowering the next generation through environmental education. By providing these children with knowledge and experiences, we aim to instill a sense of stewardship and appreciation for their natural heritage. Therefore, during 2024 we will be furthering our efforts in educating and engaging with the children from these communities.

Despite their proximity to the beautiful Corcovado National Park, many of these children have never had the opportunity to visit and experience their natural surroundings firsthand.  The immersive opportunity to visit these world-renowned treasures will inspire them to continue the conservation efforts.

How You Can Help: On April 8-12, eligible donations up to $50 per unique donor per organization will be matched at 50% during the campaign until funds run out.  Your support is crucial to forming a more promising future for these communities and their environment.

Thank you for being a part of our journey towards environmental education and conservation. Together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of these children and the preservation of Corcovado National Park.

Warm regards,

Corcovado Foundation Team
