Equality Awareness for 500 Youth in Kano

Since the launch of the Equality Awareness for 500 Youth in Kano project, Elite Star Foundation has continued to lay the groundwork for supporting vulnerable young people facing discrimination, social exclusion, and safety risks. The project aims to provide safety education, mental health support, legal literacy, and secure community support systems for 500 young people.

At this reporting stage, the project has a total funding target of $5,000, with $0 received and $5,000 remaining, according to the current GlobalGiving project records. Consequently, no project expenditure has been recorded against donations received through the platform, as no funds have yet been raised. The funding position remains a key factor affecting the commencement and scale of planned activities.

Despite this financial limitation, preliminary work has continued through outreach preparation, beneficiary identification planning, and the development of implementation strategies. These preparations are intended to support responsible project delivery once funding becomes available. The foundation remains focused on ensuring that resources, when received, are directed towards essential programme activities, including educational materials, access to counselling, safety resources, secure engagement channels, and project coordination. The current reporting period therefore reflects progress in planning and readiness, while the full implementation of activities remains dependent on securing the necessary financial resources.
