Strengthening Emergency Readiness at Critical Site

By Angie | Partnerships & Development Manager

As part of the Save the Workers Project, Mission Kharkiv continues to provide first aid training to employees of critical infrastructure enterprises and supply them with essential life-saving medical materials.

During this reporting period, we conducted training at the Kryvyi Rih Thermal Power Plant (TPP) — a strategically important energy facility located in a high-risk area frequently targeted by missile strikes. Despite constant danger, the plant remains fully operational, ensuring heating and electricity for thousands of Ukrainian homes.

A total of 311 employees completed certified first aid training, gaining vital skills to respond to emergencies and save lives in crises. To support their preparedness, Mission Kharkiv supplied 10 first aid boxes equipped with high-quality hemostatic kits.

In February, we expanded our supply by receiving an additional 30 first aid boxes, complete with tourniquets, hemostatic bandages, and trauma shears—generously provided by our partners.

Unfortunately, a planned training at another infrastructure site had to be postponed due to a missile strike. The facility is currently undergoing restoration, and we hope to resume our activities there soon.

Critical infrastructure workers continue to risk their lives every day to maintain essential services for millions of Ukrainians. Their safety is our priority. We sincerely thank our donors for standing with us!
