We have all watched the atrocities unfold in Gaza over the past months. Despite the overwhelming and continuing difficulty of the current situation, there are ongoing efforts to secure critical relief to innocent civilians suffering from the deteriorating humanitarian conditions. To assist with this vitally important mission, Egypt Relief and Aid is honored to partner with MedGlobal to raise funds for life-saving medical supplies and medications to be used to help Gazans fleeing the crisis.
The border crossing between Egypt and Gaza at Rafah is technically open for medical and humanitarian aid. However, aid entry has been severely limited, pushing a rapidly growing number of Gazans into Egypt seeking life-saving care and basic needs. Many, especially the injured, chronically ill, and elderly, are in need of immediate and long-term medical attention. As a result, Egypt's healthcare facilities direly need increased supplies and support to expand their capacity for Gazan patients.
In Gaza, MedGlobal has distributed 62K liters of fuel to 11 hospitals, $100K worth of food, and $450K worth of medical supplies in Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023. Now, MedGlobal is working to also support Gazans and other Palestinians within Egypt's borders. This campaign will contribute funds to their Egypt initiatives for Palestinians, especially Gazans. The crisis unfortunately continues and the need for support in Egypt for Gazans is only expected to increase with time.
