by ADJAH CANCER SUPPORT GHANA LBG
Essential Medicines for Underserved Patients

Summary

In Ghana, many low-income patients are unable to access essential medicines due to cost and availability challenges. Challenge

Essential medicines for conditions such as infections, hypertension, diabetes, respiratory illnesses, and pain management are often unaffordable for vulnerable patients. As a result, many people delay treatment, skip doses, or go without care entirely-leading to preventable complications, hospitalizations, and deaths.

Solution

This project will remove financial barriers by purchasing and distributing essential medicines through partner health facilities and community outreach programs. Priority will be given to low-income patients, the elderly, and those with chronic or urgent medical needs.

Long-Term Impact

By improving consistent access to essential medicines, this project will help reduce preventable illness and death, improve quality of life, and strengthen community health systems across underserved areas in Ghana.
