Hello, we were able to obtain funding for the establishment of the Centre. The centre has been created with funding from SolarSpar. Therefore, I would appreciate it if you could delete the project from GlobalGiving permanently.
On 6 April 2026, we were proud to officially open the Renewable Energy Research and Training Centre in Bishkek, co-established byThe Bulan Institute for Peace Innovationsand the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov.
This milestone initiative advances green energy while building a new generation of skilled professionals. The Centre is designed as a modern educational and scientific-practical platform that supports professional training, upskilling of energy specialists, applied research, and hands-on learning.
We were honoured by the participation of Bekbosun Borubashov, Deputy Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic, who emphasised that renewable energy is not only a global priority, but also a key driver of sustainable development for the country. DrPal Dunay, Director of the OSCE Academy in Bishkek and member of the Advisory Board of the Bulan Institute, highlighted the importance of the green energy transition and the value of combining practical skills with academic knowledge.
We were also honoured to welcome other high-level guests, energy experts, scholars, and government officials to the opening ceremony. The Centre aims to accelerate the development of green energy in Kyrgyzstan through capacity-building, innovation, and research.
We sincerely thank our partnerSolarsparfor their essential support in renovating and equipping the Centre.
