Education After Work, Hope for Life

Evening Schools for Child Laborers: Education After Work, Hope for Life

Summary

In Pakistan, millions of children are trapped in child labor, working long hours instead of attending school. This project establishes Evening Schools for Child Laborers, providing free education, books, and a safe learning environment after work hours.

So far, $1,081 has been raised toward our $25,000 goal, enabling us to begin laying the foundation for these evening learning centers. However, much more support is needed to reach every child waiting for a chance to learn.

With your continued generosity, evenings can become a time of learning, safety, and hope instead of exhaustion and lost dreams.

The Challenge

Across Pakistan, millions of children are forced into labor because of poverty. They work in brick kilns, workshops, factories, farms, markets, and homes to support their families.

Without education, they remain trapped in a cycle of poverty, vulnerability, and exploitation. Traditional schools are not accessible to children who must work during the day, leaving them with no path forward.

Our Solution

This project establishes Evening Schools for Child Laborers, offering flexible, child-centered education after work hours.

We provide:

  • Evening classes in literacy, numeracy, and basic education
  • Free books, notebooks, and learning materials
  • Safe, welcoming classrooms with trained teachers
  • Life skills and awareness sessions

These schools ensure that a child’s need to work does not permanently take away their right to learn.

Progress to Date

With the $1,081 raised so far, we have been able to:

  • Identify target communities with high child labor prevalence
  • Begin outreach to families and employers to enroll children
  • Develop curriculum plans suitable for working children
  • Recruit volunteer and part-time teachers

This initial progress is meaningful, but it is only the beginning.

Long-Term Impact

By providing education, this project enables children to:

  • Gain basic literacy and numeracy
  • Continue into formal education or vocational training
  • Access safer and better-paid work in the future
  • Break the intergenerational cycle of poverty

Educated children uplift families, strengthen communities, and create long-term social change.

Call for Continued Support

While we are deeply grateful for the support received so far, $23,919 is still needed to reach our goal and fully implement the Evening Schools.

Your contribution today will:

  • Bring education to a working child
  • Protect children from lifelong exploitation
  • Invest in long-term community transformation

Every donation moves a child from labor toward learning and from survival toward opportunity.

Together, we can ensure that no child’s future is defined by the work they were forced to do. With your support, every evening can become a doorway to hope.

With gratitude,
The Moses Welfare Foundation Team
