Thanks to your support we have been able to provide 250 students in four rural schools bordering the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park with the equipment they needed to help them sit their exams. The equipment we were able to provide, included alcohol to clean their hands and revision books and maps for their classes, alongside individual stationary sets of pens, pencils, compasses, and protractors. All new and ready for their exams.
Whilst the physical items we were able to provide through your support were very valued, the teachers have reported that the kindness received and knowledge that there are people that care greatly about them, did much to uplift the students, and teachers, spirits.
Sadly, we are still not allowed back into the schools to give the items to the children directly, but we were able to meet the staff and hand over the items.
We will now close this project as all equipment has been purchased and distributed. We will keep our fingers crossed for their results and if you want to continue supporting our school’s education programme please look at our https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/botswanas-future-environmental-stewards/ page.
Thanks for giving these young people so much more than stationary, you also gave them hope.
