Alexandra, a Professional of Enseña Peru (PEP) in Huancavelica, tells us with a smile on her face about her experience with Arnhol. He is a very curious 9-year-old boy who always seeks to sit in the front row of his classroom to listen attentively to the world around him. "Teacher Alexandra, I know a lot about plants, but I don't know the words for their parts and functions" mentions Arnhol, who has weathered hands from growing potatoes with his mommy Gabriela, although he doesn't know if the potato is a fruit, root or stem.
Arnhol wants to learn more about the plants his community works with and his teacher Alexandra, his guide in his curiosity, is willing to give him all her support. With the few resources she has, Alexandra seeks to conduct various experiments that allow her students to learn first-hand about the properties and parts of different plants.
Today, Arnhol has become a connoisseur of the scientific method, knows that the potato is a stem and is constantly demanding new challenges from his teacher Alexandra. Arnhol's most recent challenge is to collect together with his mom Gabriela the medicinal plants of his community, meanwhile, the teacher Alexandra knows that she has to start thinking about the next challenge for this big curious little boy.
Thanks to your support we are able to make stories like Arnhol's possible!
