We are delighted to share this inspiring story of a student in Ancash, whose journey was marked by the support of her teacher, a member of the Enseña Perú program.
From her early years in the classrooms of Chavín de Huantar, Kiara demonstrated an innate passion for projects and an unwavering determination to make the world a better place. Her journey began as a student at IE Carlos Alberto Izaguirre, where she quickly stood out for her ability to identify problems and seek solutions through innovative projects.
In 2018, her teacher Gabriel, recognizing the potential of emerging leaders like Kiara, called together a group of like-minded students to form "Los Llachags", a youth organization committed to change and community development. Through the support of Enseña Perú, Kiara and her team found the momentum needed to turn their ideas into tangible actions.
As the years went by and members of Los Llachags graduated from high school, Kiara never lost sight of her dream of attending the University of the Pacific to study Economics. Despite the challenges and numerous rejections along the way, she kept the flame of hope alive, knowing she had the unwavering support of her family, friends, and the community backing her.
Finally, Kiara received the news she had been eagerly awaiting: she had been accepted into the Economics program at the University of the Pacific and had won a prestigious scholarship!
"This achievement is a testament to the power of determination and community support" reflects Kiara with a radiant smile. "My commitment to my community and country will never waver. I will continue to work to make the world a fairer and more equitable place for all."
At Enseña Perú, we are honored to have been part of her journey and are forever grateful for your generous support on GlobalGiving. Thank you for being part of our mission to empower young people like Kiara to reach their dreams and change the world for the better!
