In 2017 Hope Project took our first trip to Asia to meet with potential partners and to identify a group of children that we could help long-term. We decided to partner together to help the children of a small children's home in Myanmar. In 2019 we agreed to become financially responsible for the home, providing for the daily and ongoing needs of the 40 children living there. Our goal is to continue to expand our efforts in Asia and to do more than simply meet the basic needs of these children.
Prior to Hope Project's partnership with the children's home in Myanmar it was said that the home, "had a hard time putting rice on the children's plates." No child or caregiver should ever have to wonder where the next meal is coming from. Our goal is that this is never the case again. When we announced to the children that we would be caring for them through financial sponsorship, their response was, "now we are never going to be alone again."
It is our desire to do more than simply meet the basic needs of each child. We want to see these children thrive. We want to see them receive proper daily nutrition, complete the highest level of education possible, and live in an environment that sets them up for success for the rest of their lives. This project makes all of these things possible.
By providing proper nutrition, education and shelter for these children we can help release them from the cycle of poverty that stands before them. When a strong and healthy child grows up and has the opportunity to attend university or start their dream job, they will step out of the home and into their world, as leaders in every area of life.
