We are a diverse and inclusive movement that strives to end education inequity. We develop collective leadership to ensure that all Mexican children can fulfill their potential. Over the past 10 years, Ensena por Mexico has impacted 140,000 students in vulnerable communities across Mexico. This school cycle, we have more than 245 Fellows teaching, inspiring, and co-creating with more than 218 public schools and centers, and 655 alumni working for social justice and education equity.
Every child is born with enormous potential, but millions lack the education, support, and opportunity they need to thrive. Mexico's children and youth are unable to reach their full potential and the inequity gap continues to grow as 6,000 students drop out of school due to socioeconomic issues. There are 33.9% of Mexican students are unable to communicate and read effectively and most of them live in underserved and vulnerable communities.
Ensea por Mexico places fellows in high-need classrooms as part of a Leadership Program to support teachers, parents, and most importantly to provide an educational experience that will enable students to thrive. As alumni of the leadership program, Ensena por Mexico continues to support them throughout their professional lives to achieve lasting social change.
