The present school year is almost over - a year that has been challenging for the world, for Mexico and for education. The pandemic showed the structural problem that exists in Mexican education and with it, the enormous gap that does not allow all children and youth to reach their full potential.
Despite the difficulties encountered, Enseña por México, hand in hand with the educational communities, had the opportunity to reinvent learning and equip students with the cognitive, creative, social, and emotional skills necessary to navigate in the present and the future. We contextualized the one-going support, strategies and activities that are carried out through the more than 260 Profesionales de Enseña por México (PEM) to face the different realities that exist in the 10 states in which we collaborate in more than 120 centers and schools. For this we have carried out periodic censuses to determine the access to connectivity of each of the students, as well as their socio-emotional affectation, to adapt, adjust and expand the impact.
Our more than 470 Alumni have demonstrated their resilience and capacity by continuing to impact the education sector despite the crisis we are in, finding ways to innovate in the social sector, promoting and developing educational public policy and leading educational initiatives inside and outside the classroom. You can check the information on our Alumni report through this Facebook Live.
Enseña por México is now preparing for the 2021-2023 generation of PEM that will start their intensive initial training in July and begin their collaboration in centers and schools in hybrid modalities in August.
