Report

By Lavenda Awuor | Coordinator

Dear Partners,

Warm greetings from all of us at KCSD! We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donations, which have significantly contributed to the expansion of our agri-farm in Oyugis. Your support enabled us to purchase drip irrigation pipes—a crucial step in improving our farming efficiency—and to begin cultivating the land with much-needed seeds. We are deeply grateful for your partnership and belief in our mission. While your donations have made a meaningful impact, we would like to share that some urgent farming needs still remain unmet. These include the completion of the full irrigation system, purchase of additional farming tools, fertilizers, and improved seed varieties to ensure consistent and sustainable yields. Our mission is to empower deaf youth and women through agri-business, creating sustainable, income-generating opportunities that uplift individuals, families, and the community at large. This initiative is part of our broader effort to promote economic empowerment, self-reliance, and social inclusion for people living with disabilities. The volunteer group leading this effort was formed in response to the challenges faced by deaf youth, women, and vulnerable children. Our key areas of focus include: • Education • Health • Agribusiness • Environmental awareness • Economic empowerment • Mentorship programs Together, we are working to build a future where deaf individuals are equipped with the skills, confidence, and resources to thrive. On behalf of the entire team, I wish to sincerely appreciate every one of you who has contributed to the KCSD project. Your continued support helps us move closer to our goal of empowering deaf youth to create livelihoods, achieve self-reliance, and uplift their families and communities.

Thank you for walking this journey with us. With deep appreciation,

Lavenda Awuor
