Dear Partners,
Warm greetings to you all. We hope that 2026 has been kind to you and your families.
On behalf of our entire team, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support. Your generosity enables us to pursue our mission of uplifting vulnerable deaf children, youths, and women in Homa Bay County and surrounding areas. With an estimated deaf population of over 75,000, your support continues to make a meaningful impact on a community that often remains underserved.
Progress Over the Last Six Months Despite global social and economic challenges, we have remained committed to creating sustainable, long-term solutions for the communities we serve.
In the past six months, we launched an organic farming program to improve food security for deaf children, elderly caregivers, and vulnerable families. The project includes:
Cultivating vegetables and staple crops using organic methods
Rearing small livestock to enhance nutrition
Using biological and natural soil-enhancing materials instead of synthetic fertilizers
Promoting sustainable land management to maintain soil fertility and reduce pollution
Training deaf youths in modern organic farming skills, equipping them with livelihood opportunities
This initiative has already reduced food costs at our centers, improved the quality of meals provided, and empowered young people with practical skills that foster independence.
