We are building a Medical school as there is a complete shortage of Girls into Sciences especially in Dentistry , Nursing and Midwifery and technology in Uganda . Less than 300 Dentists for a population of 42 millions. Young mothers are dying because there is not enough qualified Midwifery to attend to them. And that is why I decided to set up a Medical School to train the young people and improve the well being of the community and promote girls education.
The girls are still lagging behind in sciences. More girls still perform poorly in sciences compared to the boys. This is due to lack of time for revising their school work. They come back from school and start preparing dinner for the family. By the time she finished cooking, She is very tired and unable to read and this is a major problems. This is why we are setting up a boarding school so that they can stay from school and as a result their standard will improve and they will perform better
The project will definitely solve the problems as the girls will be staying from school whereby extra lesson or tutorials is provided in Sciences, confident building and practical teaching. The project will launch a campaign to sensitise the importance of Girls education in societies.
Experts call for the need to provide sex education in schools on why they need to delay child bearing is important as this will bring a positive impact and lead to their advancement in education. This will reduce child pregnancies and more Girls will remain in School. As more Girls is into Sciences, the standard of living will improve as they enter into Nursing, Midwifery, Dentistry and technology.
