Project Fearless: Building Blocks for 2026

You made an incredbile Fearless 5k happen in 2025! Together, we supported the 539 girls and kids that Project Fearless championed in 2025. You showed up, explored what being fearless means to you, and supported what we stand for at Project Fearless: A space for girls to Build. Make. Be.

We're wrapping up our Winter season at Project Fearless this week for our 70 kids aged 9-14 across Amsterdam and Rotterdam. It has been an 8-week journey of coaches and kids exploring the final season of our Playbook theme, "Coach-it-Forward", through the seasonal theme Team & Community Building. Bringing together everything we've learned this year about self-awareness, communication skills and sharing knowledge to work well together and make a difference beyond their programs.

One mother of a 9 year old in our Sustainable Sewing program in Rotterdam experienced our impact first hand. "Ella* has quite a few sports and activities. But this is the first time for an activity where I actually see her happy and cheerful when I pick her up. I want to thank you for that. I think it's really thanks to your guidance."

The stories continue on! Our founder, Mérida Miller, has been Winter’s skate and sewing coach since 2022. Proudly watching her grow, dream big, and even pitch a business plan to… you know, no big deal… just Meghan Markle. Recently, Winter stepped into a brand-new role as an intern for Project Fearless, where she interviewed Mérida on what it truly means to be Fearless. Head on over to our first-ever podcast episode in the links to this update, and follow us for more!

Want to support more stories like this? We're building the blocks to another 5k challenge in 2026! We'll share more with you on how you can join in again.

Would you like to help out in more ways? We love collaborating with our Fearless community, from volunteers to Fearless partners. I'd love to hear your thoughts at vanessa@projectfearless.org.

With Fearless hugs,
