A fall fashion show highlighting our students designs. We will host a fashion show highlighting a group of KickNKnowledge Kicks Academy Students Street Wear Sneaker centric designs. We will have a group of students model the clothing and host, run and operate their own fashion show learning about the many opportunities with in the sneaker and fashion industries. They will be in. Charge of hair, makeup, styling, model timing, event invites, setup, breakdown, and overall run of show.
The SYEP has Suspended Services for young adults. They will be little to no opportunities for many of this youth this summer. 100,000 plus students 3years in a row are homeless a record high. 500,000 are living Below the poverty line. During this worldwide Pandemic the Youth Demographic will be forgetten and in need of services now more that ever !!! This project will take students from these settings & provide them with education, opportunity, & access !!! Culminating w/ an internship.
Kicks Academy is an innovative workforce development program, powered by KickNKnowledge, we use the process of footwear design to bridge the educational gap within Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Media, Entrepreneurship, & Design Disciplines. Kicks Academy brings innovative educational programming to traditionally underserved and underrepresented students in elementary, middle school, & High Schools across the globe with hopes of creating diversity within STEAMMED Industries.
FOOTWEAR IS AN AMAZING GATEWAY TO UNLOCK CREATIVITY AND IMAGINATION. Students are exposed to all aspects of the footwear industry. This exposure allows them to explore everything from design and manufacturing, to marketing, merchandising, media and retail, while learning the powerfully important aspects of STEAMMED education that will impact &empower them for the future. Which will provide for them and their families wealth, health and well being.
