Help homeless families to sustain

Nbila lived alone at space given by generous donor. Her parents died, no brother and sister. She has diabetic and high blood pressure and not able to do hard job. 

Grocery was dispersed by Muwakhat Foundation with the help of ALLAH Almighty and efforts of our Operational Head and interns as it came into notice that Ms. Nabila is in need of food items and she has no family to support her at all. We purchased a good quantity of quality grocery items including rice, sugar, cooking oil, bread, eggs and spices etc. for her costing Rs. 5000/- from a store in Allama Iqbal Town Lahore.

Earlier she was provided best quality bedding stuff including blanket, mattress, pillow etc. To prevent herself from the cold.

Ms. Nabila was so happy to receive these grocery items as she was in need of some proper food.

We believe in WE ARE ONE, so we preferred to chose the things those we could choose for ourselves.

In the month of August 2020, Muwakhat Foundation distributed dry ration to 33 poor families affected during covid-19. Number of families increased by 69% with support of genrous donors. Ultimate purpose to save families who lost their daily wages income during covid-19 from starvation, Also Cash was given to cover home expenses.

Muwakhat Foundation registered homeless families for provide food, saftey toolkit covis-19, cash, medicines, Fresh cooked food, warm clothes, blankets and school fees for children.

This help continued until head of family start earn consistent and secure income to feed family. Muwakhat is going to help daily wages earner for startup small business range between US$ 60 to US$120.

Muwakhat will do shift from labour to own business to daily wager in phases and in phase I, 20 families shall startup cart of fresh vegetable of fruit. They shall earn average US$ 9 per day by sell fresh vegetable or fruit at cart. In Pakisan Daily wages average earn from factory between US$3 to US$ 5 which is very low compare to earn from own work.

WAY FORWARD

In coming up next two months, Muwakhat Foundation working 

• awareness of Giving Tuesday in schools and college and spread message about role of every person for how to pay back their community.
• Warm clothes and blanks distribute in November and December 2020 to homeless children.
• Homeless children first time to take in international food chain restaurant.
