Feeding Hope in the Heart of Congo
Humanitarian Project Report: Feed 300 Hungry Families in War-Torn DRCongo
1. Context and Rationale
In North Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo, years of armed conflict and natural disasters have plunged thousands of families into hunger and despair.
Among them is Mama Aisha, a widow and mother of five, struggling to survive in a displacement camp. Like her, hundreds of families eat only once a day—if they’re lucky.
In response to this urgent need, our project “Feed 300 Hungry Families” aims to provide immediate food assistance to 240 of the most vulnerable households: women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
2. Project Objective
To provide emergency food support to displaced families affected by war in North Kivu, in order to reduce hunger, prevent malnutrition, and restore hope within devastated communities.
Specific objectives:
3. Expected Impact
4. Implementation Approach
The project is implemented through a participatory and transparent approach:
5. Overall Budget
The total project budget is estimated at 10,000 USD.
So far, no funds have yet been raised, but through our partnership with the GlobalGiving platform, we are confident that we will achieve our fundraising goal in the coming weeks.
Every contribution—no matter how small—turns into food, smiles, and hope for a family struggling to survive.
6. Call for International Solidarity
We make a heartfelt appeal to all donors, partners, and friends of humanity:
Your action can save lives.
With only $30, you can provide a week’s worth of meals to a displaced family.
With $300, you can support 10 households.
Together, let’s give these families the strength to rise again and rebuild their future.
Your support is the key to turning despair into hope.
7. Acknowledgements
We express our deepest gratitude to all those who have already contributed to this project, in any way.
Your trust and generosity not only feed hungry families but also nourish the hope of a resilient people.
Thanks to GlobalGiving and to the solidarity of each one of you, we will reach our goal and write a new chapter of hope for Congo.
