Summary

The project will support 4,000 vulnerable people in Armenia including the elderly, people with disabilities and those in crisis. 1,200 will receive daily hot meals at community soup kitchens, while 2,800 will receive essential food parcels. Beyond food soup kitchens offer emotional support, personalized care and social inclusion. By addressing both hunger and isolation the project helps restore dignity and improve well-being. With your support we can ensure no one faces hunger or hardship alone.

Challenge

In Armenia, 13.21% of the population is aged 65+, and 196,000 people live with disabilities, leaving them highly vulnerable. With 23.7% living below the poverty line and 30% of households food insecure (WFP), many struggle to access nutritious meals and essential care. These vulnerable groups face heightened isolation and poor health. The 2023 displacement of over 100,000 people from Nagorno-Karabakh has further strained resources, worsening hunger and making support efforts even more urgent.

Solution

The project will address hunger and isolation among Armenia's most vulnerable populations. By providing daily hot meals through soup kitchens to 1,200 persons and distributing food parcels to 2,800 people, the project combats food insecurity. Additionally, soup kitchens provide emotional support and personalized care, helping reduce isolation and improve well-being. For many, these meals are the only reliable source of food, restoring dignity and strengthening social support networks.

Long-Term Impact

This project will provide hot meals and food parcels to 4,000 vulnerable people in Armenia, addressing hunger and isolation. By offering emotional support and personalized care at community soup kitchens, the project fosters inclusion, improves well-being, and restores dignity. Over time, it will reduce dependency, empower individuals, and strengthen social support networks, helping build more resilient communities. This long-term impact will improve lives and contribute to community resilience.
