First Phase Done: Medication, Feeding, Clothing!

By Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri | Project Leader

Dear respected donors,

Thank you for making it possible for us to successfully complete the first phase of this project. Your generosity had a strong impact.

We carried out two outreaches:

  1. Mararaba, Karu LGA, Nasarawa State

    • Free malaria testing and full treatment for 50 people

    • 22 pairs of sandals for children without shoes
    • Nutritious meals for 70 individuals
Many of the almajiri children shared that this was something they had never experienced before.

  2. New Nyanya, Nasarawa State

    • We attended to 55 almajiri children, arranged for us by the community chief.

    • The outreach was conducted under a canopy with 55 chairs provided.

    • At the request of the community chief, we did not take photos of the children at the second location to protect their identities. However, we photographed our setup and staff before the outreach began.

    • At this location, we provided meals for 55 children, along with malaria testing and treatment.

The community chief and the children were deeply touched by these efforts. He assured us that he would continue to spread the news of the project and prayed for our donors. We explained to him that, moving forward, seeking the children’s consent for photographs would help us share the impact with donors who made this possible.

The pictures below show the outreaches at the first and second locations.

Big thanks to all our donors who made these two outreaches possible in the lives of abandoned street children. To our prospective donors, we sincerely hope this project qualifies for your kind contributions.

With gratitude and love,
Kadiri Ugbede-Ojo Dominic
