Project Report | Dec 28, 2020
What a year 2020 has been

Our School will open again
Our School will open again

Dear Supporters,

Some days it is hard for our community members to see the light at the end of a long fight against poverty and many other globoal issues that they face. With the continued support our you, our generous donors, we have continued to be able to provide a warm meal daily for our students.

This is such an important part of this project as well as funding learning resources. Poverty is a huge issue and often parents look to keep children at home to help with daily tasks and therefore loose out on an education. Without education it is almost impossible to fight the cycle of poverty.

At our local school, it's not just a building it is a safe and great part of the community to welcome children to learn. With your donations we fund a daily school meal which is not only an incentive for parents to send their children to school, as they can't afford a meal for them, but a full tummy helps children to actiive their brain and retain what they are taught.

2020 on top of all these challenges COVID-19 hit everyone worldwide and while we know things have gotten really bad for many people around the world Brazil is now in the top worst affected Countries. In December Brazil reported over 190,000 deaths due to COVID-19 with well over 3 million infected.

Our school had to close but we continued to support the chiildren from a distance, we are hoping to open in 2021 and will do everything possible to ensure we social distance and protect our students but resources are limited but every donation we get will continue tio ensure goes directly to making the lives of our chiildren better.

We wish everyone a festive and safe holiday and we hope that 2021 brings us all some better news. From everyone at our school we thank you for your donations and continued support

Thank You!
