Feed and educate 3,500 children in rural Vietnam

Here in Quang Tri Province, the main event from the last three months was the lunar new year or the ‘tet’ festival, which was celebrated by Vietnamese communities all over the world. Since all schools had a holiday on the actual day of ‘Tet’, February 5th, we celebrated it with our students once they arrived back in the classroom. Your donations and generosity make this work possible; without your support, many children would have no school to go back to following the holiday with their families. In Vietnam, the new year represents a ‘clean-slate,’ and new clothes are bought and worn on new year’s day as a symbol of this. Thanks to you, we can support an increasing number of children to begin their new year with hope. Education gives many of our students from minority backgrounds a chance to break the cycle of poverty that affects their families, still hurting from the aftermath of the war. Critically, the fifteen kindergartens that we run in Quang Tri because of your donations give over 450 children a foot on the ladder towards a better life, a chance that every child deserves.
