Feed and educate 3,500 children in rural Vietnam

With the approach of spring, we’d like to give you another update about our scholarship, meal, and kindergarten programs! First, our Citizen Diplomacy travelers had the chance to dedicate Friends Forever’s new kindergarten expansion back in early January, a celebration that brought much of the community together. We are excited to witness the learning that will occur here, especially now that the school has doubled in size!

Our scholarship program is still going strong, with 256 scholarship recipients in primary and secondary school, and 7 students in University. Today we’d like to share what one of these students has to say!

Dear PeaceTrees VietNam scholarship program and donors

My name is Tuyen.

                I am studying 4th grade in Cam Chinh primary and middle school. I want to give my sincere thanks to the scholarship, for giving me part of the gifts and supporting my school fee to help me continue going to school. My family life is honestly very difficult, my father died early when I was a small child, I live with my mom, my grandparents and my older brother. My mom does not have a stable job. I love my mom so much. I want to thank all of you in the scholarship program who gave me the chance to study like my friends. I promise to be a good student, to study hard and always do my best to live up to your precious help.
