Feed and educate 3,500 children in rural Vietnam

Over the summer, PeaceTrees worked hard to continue their important work even as Covid cases increased and many cities were placed under lockdown. Despite these challenges and setbacks, PeaceTrees EOD teams have cleared nearly 5 million square meters of land. We are grateful for the continued health and safety of our staff, and so proud of how much we have been able to accomplish over these past months! PeaceTrees looks forward to when operations can resume at full capacity and hope that our friends in Vietnam continue to stay healthy. 

PeaceTrees is additionally excited to announce that the brand new Ooc Village Kindergarten is open in time for the 2021-2022 school year! The kindergarten welcomed 29 students to the building as the school year began the first week of September. Access to early education for these students would not have been possible without the generous support and friendship of donors like you. Our kindergartens in the Huong Hoa and Dakrong districts of Quang Tri also began their school years this month, with some lockdowns easing and the vaccine rollout continuing successfully. PeaceTrees is hopeful that we can welcome back all kindergarteners to school in the near future.   

PeaceTrees will also be celebrating its 26th Anniversary this October! We would like to invite you to this virtual celebration on October 25th at 5:30 pm. The event will highlight the amazing work your support makes possible, and show how your continued commitment can further our work for peace, reconciliation, and safety in Vietnam.
