Children are now attending classes in Quang Tri and are excited to continue learning! We are thrilled that your donations help us offer support and allow us to witness scholarship recipients’ educational success. So far in 2017, through your support and the support of other generous donors, PeaceTrees has offered scholarships to over 200 children. As we celebrate the holidays with family and friends here in the United States, we are also reminded of the need that continues to exist for many children in Quang Tri, Vietnam.
These children need uniforms, school books, and tuition each year. Mandatory school expenses and fees cost approximately $50 a year. While this may not seem like a large sum in the context of holiday expenses, in a province where many families live on $2 USD a day, the cost of $50 per child creates an impossible barrier for many in Quang Tri.You can help us grow the number of children receiving this life changing assistance and ensure that they receive stable and predictable support. This holiday season, we hope you will join us in fostering a brighter future for mine accident affected children and ethnic minority children experiencing extreme poverty. A donation of $50 will provide a child with scholarship assistance for an entire year. Thank you for your generous support!
