Summary

The goal of this project is to support 120 vulnerable children affected by the economic challenges facing our country. Many families in our community rely on informal employment, which is especially vulnerable during economic downturns. This initiative aims to meet the basic needs of these children by providing food packages to each family every two weeks. Our support is designed to ensure that these children can focus on safely attending school, rather than being forced onto the streets to beg

Challenge

In Bogota, the challenge of malnutrition is stark, with over 47,000 primary school children lacking access to food throughout the day, a situation worsened by the current economic conditions. Despite the commendable efforts of individuals and institutions to mitigate this issue, much remains to be done. Your support is crucial. Together, we can make a tangible difference by providing essential nourishment to 120 children and their families, simultaneously reducing the risk of school dropouts.

Solution

With the $50,000 raised through your generous donations, we will monitor and improve the nutritional status of the children via food distributions and anthropometric assessments. We will advocate for healthy lifestyle habits, fostering stronger community partnerships. Collaborating with parents and caregivers, we aim to nurture children within healthy family environments, ensuring they have the right to pursue their education in a state of good health and proper nourishment.

Long-Term Impact

Children require both nourishment and love to thrive, underscoring the importance of their right to grow up in safe, caring, and loving families. Our mission is to empower families to ensure their children not only attend school but also continue their education without interruption. By doing so, we aim to reduce dropout rates and enhance the well-being of these young minds. After all, no child can succeed in school on an empty stomach.
