Project Report | Sep 25, 2018
A happy kid

By Eliana Camelo | Project Leader

A happy kid

"I'm happy, now I can play with my friends!" said Samuel Quiñonez, an 8-year-old orphan who, thanks to donors' contribution, overcame his problems of malnutrition, which caught the attention of the entire work team, reaffirming our mission to fight against hunger as a first step for the development of the normal life of all these children. Samuel can now play, study and grow healthy thanks to the fact that he now has daily food that thanks to all donors is possible.

Bogotá's food bank through its comprehensive nutrition program has served more than 70,000 children in the last year, but this is only the beginning, according to the latest report from the United Nations organization for food and agriculture, in Colombia approximately 1.8 million children suffer from problems of malnutrition, which is why it makes the development of other areas of their life impossible. As soon as these children can count on sufficient daily food they can study, play and develop a life that guarantees their life in community.

Carrying out our mission is only possible thanks to the support of individuals and organizations that provide the funds that guarantee the daily food our children need. For these children we work and they inspire us to achieve a Colombia without hunger.

Although we have quite satisfactory achievements, our dream is to end hunger in Colombia, that is why our path is only beginning. We will keep you informed as this project progresses.

¡Time to make a decision, the next feeding and development of a child in Bogotá is just a click away! You can support us by donating from $ 10 or sharing this project with contacts or acquaintances who may be interested in this purpose.

Together we can fight against hunger
